St Andrew’s Links gets shortlisted for another award

Clare Jones Head of Marketing

Yesterday the BIMA shortlist was announced and we were delighted to see that the St Andrews Links design and build project has just received its second shortlist of the year! Currently shortlisted for a DADI for Best Use of Visual Design, we are chuffed to bits that it’s gone and got another one and has been shortlisted once again, this time for the BIMA Leisure and Culture award.

The project, which was a full design and build, including an ecommerce shop and mobile app, is without doubt impactful. We can’t take all the credit though, as St Andrews Links just happens to be one of the most picturesque places we have ever seen. Not many client office meetings look out onto views like this one, so we were spoilt for imagery, which plays a key part in the new look and feel of the website and the mobile app followed suit. In the first week of launch there were over 2,500 downloads and the golf press have given it rave reviews. It gives you in depth details of all the Links courses and interactive scorecards and hints on how to help you get your best score. And most useful of all, being in Scotland, you can keep up to date with the latest weather conditions wherever you are, with the help of Allianz WeatherSafe.

The entire project was delivered by our Edinburgh office who this week celebrated yet another golfing success with the launch of the new Tom Morris ecommerce website. The first name in golf has been given a 21st century facelift both in style terms and technology, and we are pretty certain, having seen the products on offer, that it won’t be long before they leave the course and head to the catwalk.
