Destination, Destination, Destination

This week, our user experience and destinations sector expert, Rob Van Tol was out and about in London speaking to an audience of the UK’s leading visitor attractions at a rather glamorous Park Lane location - The Dorchester.

The Association of Leading Visitor Attractions (ALVA) along with Visit England hosted the event and invited us to speak to their members on one of our specialist subjects - the use of digital for visitor attractions - something which we have extensive experience in following the creation of our DREAM day out report.

It was a fantastic afternoon and great opportunity for us to speak with some of the big names in the destinations sector about how they use digital and more importantly, how they want to be using it to enhance the visitor experience. Rob talked in depth about the DREAM day out model (desire, research, engage, attend, memories) from our latest report and explored examples from the sector, many of which had representatives in the room who happily shared their insights with the audience.

With a growing portfolio of clients in the destinations sector and some exciting new projects on the horizon, it is great to be approached with speaking opportunities like this to share our knowledge and expertise in this field. It is also a great way for us to gain further insight into the difficulties and opportunities those in the destinations sector are faced with, and how digital can help tackle some of these.
