New responsive website and intranet for Homerton

Esther Highton Project Manager

Launched today, Homerton’s new website aims to incorporate all of their hospital and community health services, following on from the integration of community health services in April 2011 which marked a major transformation of Homerton’s role and identity as an organisation.

We created a simple and clean responsive design for their main website that put the user at its heart which provides more convenient and effective ways for patients and GP’s to access the services and information they need, on any device.  It has been developed using the Umbraco CMS which has an incredibly user-friendly interface and has all of the functionality needed to deliver a streamlined user experience as well as the ability to adapt and grow with the websites future needs.

The intranet was also built using Umbraco and had a pivotal role to play in engaging staff and delivering information to a newly integrated workforce. It had to make basic work processes more efficient, support a range of staff who are based on and offsite in differing working environments. We created a staff directory that integrated with their internal active directory and created a repository for all of their key content, that acts as an activity stream, with events, news and support material all made easily accessible on a day to day basis.
