AI Engineer
COMPANY: PRECEDENT
Location: Remote/Virtual/Work from Anywhere
We are looking for a skilled and experienced AI Engineer to join our amazing data science team and help streamline and automate our machine learning operations, ensuring reliable deployment and monitoring of ML models and AI workflows in production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and optimize software systems which use generative AI
- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting systems for AI workflows and ML infrastructure
- Implement automated testing and validation frameworks for ML models and AI workflows
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML applications
- Serve as a software engineering expert within the Data Science team
- Work with security teams to ensure compliance and best practices in ML systems
- Document processes, architectures, and best practices for ML operations
Preferred Experience:
- AWS or other cloud platforms (GCP, Azure)
- Terraform or other infrastructure as code frameworks (e.g. CloudFormation)
- Programming in python
- Practical experience working with LLMs or other generative AI
- MLOps and/or LLM eval tools (e.g. MLflow, Kubeflow, Braintrust, HumanLoop)
- CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance
- Monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Datadog, Cloudwatch metrics)
Candidates with some but not all of these skills will be considered, as long as they’re interested in learning the rest!
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in DevOps, Software Engineering, or MLOps roles
- Strong programming experience in Python
- Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
- Proactive, thoughtful, careful, and quick learner
